Progesterone is a hormone that is used to by the body in many ways to help us survive – literally. It is created by the Pregnenolone which also produces testosterone, estrogen, corticosterone too. In women, progesterone decreased when a women reaches the age of menopause, and this affects them in many ways, so much so that their usual way of life becomes compromised, unless changes are made to counter the effects of menopause.
With progesterone, you can enhance your life in many ways regardless if you have reached middle age or not. For example, estrogen works in conjunction with progesterone, and without progesterone, estrogen becomes a potential danger to one’s system. Some of the dangers include high blood pressure, blood clotting, zinc and copper loss, and increase chances of cancer.

Menopause is a stage in a woman’s life when she stops menstruating, and transitions to a stage when she is no longer able to get pregnant. There are signs of menopause that can cause distress in a woman and make it a difficult time for her. Some of these signs of menopause are mood swings, insomnia, forgetfulness, and hot flashes.
Some women experience extreme feelings of going crazy, or imagining that they are being afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease because of the tendency to be forgetful at this stage of their lives.
According to medical experts, loss of memory, or the fact that menopausal women tend to be forgetful is not a problem of memory per se. Rather, with all the physical and emotional changes they are experiencing, they become too busy trying to deal with these to remember things.

Women have been known to take on too much. Perhaps it is because of the demands of the times when a family needs to be a two income household to maintain a certain lifestyle. Unfortunately, there is a price to pay when one assumes too much over an extended period of time.
Medicine can only do so much. There has to be a balance between living a healthy lifestyle, and taking medicine only on occasion when it is absolutely necessary. In other words, a person cannot merely rely on drugs and vitamins to sustain their body, and keep them going on a fast pace lifestyle without compromising their health and fitness.

Polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS is a condition that occurs when the endocrine system is compromised. It affects about 5% of the female population, and is the top reason why women become infertile.
The symptoms of PCOS, which is really a hormone disorder, starts gradually. In fact, there are early signs that can be detected which is good for the 5% who suffer from this condition. Some of these early warning signs are highly irregular menstruation to no monthly periods at all, acne, oily skin, unusual hair loss, heavy vaginal bleeding, sudden weight gain, and depression.
